Recently, after a hot bondage scene with a very experienced bottom I was asked what I'd like to learn next. What direction I see myself going in as a dominant. He complimented my bondage skills/technique/style. I noted that I am just beginning and that I learn something new every time I play. This is a big and interesting question- not one that I necessarily feel the need to answer, however caught off guard during a casual conversation and after and intense session the first thing that came out of my mouth was that I'd like to focus on strengthening my real D/s connections. The sessions that I have the most fun with are those when the submissive is able to really surrender control, and/ or has a true and compelling desire to serve. This is rarely accomplished in short periods of time- thus my delight in extended play.
There is a lot of self discipline necessary in maintaining as a Dominant and I feel that I've just scratched the surface as far as what I'm capable of. Potency, compatibility. It is all a delicate dance at times- selecting submissives from those who apply, negotiations, the play itself. Sometimes it feels scientific: drawing from tested formulas to yield desired reactions. Other times purely artistic: through intuitive impulse I pull together physical and psychological elements which melt into the perfect moment.
Being choosy, slowing down, going deeper. That's what's next.

Slavery
Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with Mistress Kendra Knight and one of her slaves. He exemplified a slave like attitude- putting his Mistress's pleasure ahead of his own, open and willing to serve and be used in any way she wished. I love Mistress Kendra's natural dominance- playing with her is always both extremely hot as well as relaxing. She is that gorgeous bitch you dream about, and her dominant energy really feeds my creativity. Think handcuffs and spit in a loud night club. I don't frequently engage in Mistress/slave role play. When I first started playing I found that those who approached me with such desires often were extremely insincere. I couldn't get into it. I've focused more on being Myself rather than an enigmatic or archetypal Mistress. These days, however, I'm revisiting the idea of slavery both for incorporating it in short term role plays as well as my long term D/s relationships. There is a big difference between taking on roles for a limited time (not that that isn't powerful, sexy, and intense in its own way) and really training someone. Honestly owning him, and him genuinely submitting, suffering for, and serving me entirely.
I may have already mentioned this, but during the first week of November my submissive servant CT is going to be "collared" via a P.A. piercing and a new chastity device (we decided on The Spiral by Mistress Lori). He will become my property and slave via formal contract. Within my current personal definition of slavery, he will be my first. I've trained and enjoy several servants, but not all have proven to have slave-potential. How did we get here?
First of all, CT is in a position in his life to engage in this kind of relationship. He came to me with a solid base including emotional, financial, and family stability and situations which were suited for and allowed for indulging in ongoing invasive training. His communication style is highly compatible with mine as well. Over the last year through several in person extended scenes he has proven willing to withstand carnal tortures. Through ongoing distance training he has proven that he is capable of being patient, forgiving, tenacious, generous, and genuinely willing to be molded both physically, intellectually, psychologically to meet my desires.
The old saying goes that "slavery is it's own reward" and I must say that I think training has been it's own reward. I'm really looking forward to the "collaring" but even more so what the year ahead will bring as well as watching my playtoy blossom into an efficient slave of my own creation.

Preserving the Sexy
Until further notice, I will not be seeing new clients for elaborate serious/heavy bondage scenes. Those of you with whom I am already acquainted, and those of you with whom I have already scheduled/ am in the process of scheduling sessions with no need for concern we are still a go! This is just about Me staying balanced.

Busy Birthday Month!
If you're on my email list you've probably already read about my birthday month so I'll spare you all the details.
